Ben Drew International Business Growth & Development Manager

Since 2019, Ben has been instrumental in growing our technical capabilities. Ben grew up on Awabakal land in Lake Macquarie, Australia. In 2009, he completed a Bachelor of Chemical Engineering at the University of New South Wales. Following this, Ben worked in the petroleum industry for a major well services company for more than 8 years. Ben has worked in a variety of global locations and gained skills and experience in operations, sales & technical, human resources, line management and new technology implementation. Ben has been with Western Energy since 2019. At that time, he was Western’s first project engineer and has helped grow Western’s technical capabilities significantly through planning & delivery of safe, cost-effective, geothermal well services. Some of his standout projects include: geothermal abandonment optimization, turnkey workover project delivery, developing a well triage process & high-capacity coiled tubing workover planning & execution. Today, Ben leads Western’s International Business growth & development.
